Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account information — name, email address
• Chat messages — messages you send to your AI coach
• Training & fitness data — workouts, activities, race goals, training plans, performance thresholds, and physiological data you provide
• Device information — device tokens for push notifications
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interactions within the app

2. AI Coaching — Anthropic

Your AI coaching is powered by Claude, a large language model developed by Anthropic (anthropic.com). When you use coaching features, the following data is sent to Anthropic:

• Chat messages you send and receive
• Training and fitness data relevant to the conversation (workouts, race goals, training plans)
• Context from your training history to personalize coaching responses

Anthropic acts as a data processor. Under Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service and Data Processing Addendum:

• Your data is not used to train AI models.
• Data is retained for up to 30 days for safety and abuse monitoring, then deleted.
• Anthropic does not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

3. Analytics — PostHog

We use PostHog (posthog.com) for product analytics and to improve the app experience. PostHog receives:

• User ID and email for identification
• Page views, feature usage, and interaction events
• Session recordings — recordings of your app sessions to help us understand and improve the user experience. Password fields are always masked. Other input fields may be recorded.
• Application logs and error data

PostHog is used solely for our own product improvement and does not constitute cross-app tracking.

4. Error Monitoring — Sentry

We use Sentry (sentry.io) for error monitoring and app stability. When errors occur, Sentry receives:

• User ID (not email or name)
• Crash logs, error details, and stack traces
• Performance metrics
• Request path and method

5. Push Notifications — Firebase Cloud Messaging

We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications to your device. Firebase receives:

• Device tokens
• Notification content (e.g., coaching reminders, workout feedback)

6. Email — Resend

We use Resend (resend.com) for transactional email delivery. Resend receives:

• Your email address
• Email content (workout feedback, product updates, onboarding reminders)

7. Fitness Platform Integrations — Strava & Garmin

You may optionally connect your Strava or Garmin account via OAuth. When connected, these platforms share your workout and activity data with Guava Tri. You can disconnect these integrations at any time in Settings.

8. Third-Party Data Protection

All third-party services listed above are contractually required to protect your data to the same or greater standard as this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

9. Your Rights

You can:

• Request a copy of your data by contacting us
• Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
• Disconnect fitness platform integrations at any time
• Contact us at privacy@guavatri.com with any privacy questions
